Abstract: In the present work, stochastic differential equations with reflecting boundaries associated to a Markov process are used to model a storage system of file servers where files can be duplicated, copies of files can be lost and new files can be added to the system. A two-dimensional version of Skorokhod problem in a convex domain is used to investigate the fluid equations associated to such stochastic differential equations and show existence and uniqueness of the solution of the associated deterministic Skorokhod problem, in addition to some results of simulations of the problem.
