Abstract: In the last decade, there has been an increasing scientific attention in the analysis of the high dimensional dataset. The existence of large number of features makes classification task very complex and requires a pre-processing step to solve the problem of high dimensionality. Feature selection is a technique of removing irrelevant or redundant features in order to extract the optimal subset of features that can achieve maximum classification performance.
