Abstract: The effective use of battery power is a crucial key to MANET. One of the most powerful routing protocols for mobile ad hoc networks is the optimized link-state routing protocol (OLSR)[1]. It uses a Multipoint Relay (MPR) selection method to reduce transmitted packets during the flooding process [2]. In OLSR protocol, nodes are chosen as MPRs due to the two most basic parameters: WILLINGNESS and REACHIBILITY [3], where the willingness is related to the residual energy of the node.
