Abstract: Pest insects cause great damage in modern agriculture and lead to additional economic costs linked to the intensive use of pesticides. In this thesis work we propose to test, through the development of mathematical models describing the life cycle of the insect pest, different types of biological controls. These controls must be positioned in an optimal way to reduce the risk of attacks and the additional costs associated with the intensive use of pesticides.
